Based in Herndon, Virginia, Jean Wolf is an artist working in soft pastels and oils. Jean strives for paintings that evoke an instant sense of a place, person, or object, capturing a precious moment in time. Jean studied art at Kent State University under a fine art scholarship and has furthered her studies through workshops with many notable artists in South Carolina, Massachusetts, Maryland, Oregon, and Northern Virginia. After a lengthy career as a graphic designer, Jean is spending all her time and focus on fine art painting. She has exhibited in juried exhibitions at AiM Gallery, in Middleburg, VA; The Arts of Great Falls, in Great Falls, VA; Art at the Mill, in Clarke County, VA; and Art Space Herndon, in Herndon, VA. Jean was awarded twice as an emerging artist in the Dakota Pastels Quarterly International competition: 3rd place in 4th Quarter 2023; and Honorable Mention in 1st quarter 2024.
